You are not your past experiences

I recently spoke to a small group on how our past has an invisible hold over us. At times we are overcompensating for what was, leaving us feeling drained, regardless of our success. Other times we struggle with beliefs, anxiety or even allergies that no doctor can cure. Perhaps these things are there for a reason our subconscious knows, but we fail to recognise. Once we recognise the reason, the "problem" goes away. Here are some of my thoughts.

Change your ways to move forward.

Q: How do I know if my past still has an invisible hold over me?

A: Well, it's a journey of self-discovery. Each one of us carries a unique backstory, woven with experiences that shape who we are. From family dynamics to childhood experiences, our past leaves a mark on our present selves.

What contributes to this hold from the past?

Each is shaped by a backstory. A story we have internalised. This story is based on the family we were born into and its beliefs, the role you took on within the family, the schools you attended, the friends you made, etc. The story is also shaped by your experiences within this framework: Did you get lucky often? What were you praised for? Did you make friends easily? Were you made fun of? Did you feel different to your peers? Did you move around a lot?

It's a blend of our environment, experiences, and inherent traits that mould our perception of ourselves and the world around us.

Can we change the narrative of our past?

Absolutely. You are not your past experiences. While we can't alter what happened, we have the power to redefine its significance. Through introspection and reframing, we can liberate ourselves from the story we attach to events, setting us free to rewrite our story.

That sounds too good to be true. How does this work?

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) offers just the tools to rewrite the history you keep telling yourself. RTT enables individuals to uncover deep-seated beliefs and patterns, lodged in their subconscious mind. RTT uses hypnosis to access the subconscious and at the same time let's the part of the brain sleep that has been trained to believe that change must be hard. Profound personal growth and change becomes effortless, fast and easy.

Hypnosis is nothing to be feared. You are in control and nothing can be suggested to your subconscious that you do not agree with. (Read the FAQ Page for more details.)

Could you share an example of how RTT has transformed someone's life?

Certainly. I have released people from the grips of depression, anxiety and deep insecurities. But here is a different story, one that may surprise you that RTT works in such ways. A client who had struggled with severe allergies for many years visited me. Through RTT, we unearthed the root cause— the client's parents feared something could happen to their child, so they always told it to be very careful with everything. This led to the client fearing the world and becoming allergic to so many natural and chemical ingredients. By confronting and reframing this experience, the client realised the allergies were there to protect from the world and self-imposed. Therefore they could also be removed again, by sheer will. The client listened to their recording daily after the session and really implemented changes to their life. Within days of the first session symptoms began to recede and I received the most overjoyed message from my client.

What are some common signs that indicate it's time to seek help in releasing past experiences or traumas?

First of all: traumas don't have to be anything big. They can be, but even something small can create lasting insecurities. That being said, persistent feelings of anxiety, self-doubt, or recurring patterns of self-sabotage are often indicative of unresolved past traumas. If you find yourself feeling stuck or unable to move forward in certain areas of your life, it may be beneficial to explore these issues with a trained therapist.

How long does it typically take to see results with RTT?

The duration of therapy varies for each individual, as it depends on the complexity of the issues being addressed and the individual's readiness for change. However, many clients report significant shifts and improvements after their first session.
